The Amazing Testimonies of Former LDS Missionaries!!

Wow! I just listened to some amazing testimonies on YouTube. I found the video quite by accident when I followed various links from my blog and ended up at a website playing some wonderful Christian music. It was a site for a band called Adam’s Road.

As my eyes focused on the homepage, I saw four LDS missionaries and another young man sitting in front of a church with a large white Cross. That oddity certainly got my attention. I couldn’t tell if the picture’s intent was to make fun of LDS missionaries, or, if it was LDS missionaries making fun of the Cross. As I scrolled down the page, I was directed to a YouTube video which played the testimonies of the five young men in the picture. I quickly learned that the young men were not making fun of anyone! Instead, they were sharing their testimonies of how God’s Word—the Bible—had led them to find the true gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Rather than using my own words to try and explain their Ministry, here are words from their website:

Welcome to the official Adam’s Road website. Adam’s Road is a Christian band and ministry dedicated to sharing God’s Word through music. Based in Winter Garden, Florida, the band has been together since 2006 and ministers across the nation preaching salvation through Jesus Christ. All five members of the band were at one time LDS (Mormon) and have since left that religion for a relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of their testimonies, they have a specific ministry dedicated to reaching Mormons and they have a deep love for the Mormon people and helping them find salvation through Jesus alone.

The band member’s names are: Micah Wilder, Joseph Warren, Steve Kay, Matt Wilder and Jay Graham. I am so thankful to these young men for having the courage to leave their LDS faith and and become Christian missionaries—reaching out to those lost in Mormonism.

The band Adam’s Road will be playing tonight in Murray Utah of all places! I was just there last weekend for a Seminar. If you live close by, you should go and listen to them. I sure wish I could be there. I would love to meet them!

It never ceases to amaze me every time I hear another story of just how powerful the Word of God is! It is God’s Word that brings us to a living faith in Jesus! Jesus explained that eternal life is the immediate blessing given to those who believe on Him:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

I join these young men in proclaiming that it is all about Jesus! He is our Everything:

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:5-6)

I noticed that video recently but haven’t had a chance to sit down and watch it yet – I’ll have to watch asap!

Some of the ex-Mormon testimonies on YouTube are just so amazing & inspiring. (Mitzi Nelson’s is my favorite to hear – if you can find the hour-long one, watch it in short segments, it’s worth it). Sometimes I feel like it’s hopeless for lifelong Mormons to find their way out, it gets depressing, so testimonies like the ex-Mormons (& yours) turned to Christ are SO wonderful to hear.

I really enjoy your blog, keep up the good work!

I have been completely amazed at the YouTube videos that these young men have been doing! There are several of them and each one is very powerful. I pray that Shem will go and watch them–so he can listen to the testimonies of men that are of his age. These men were faithful LDS members who were on their missions and God led them to the truth through the study of His powerful Word. I am praying for you Shem, so that you may come to know that Jesus is your all! Christ took the punishment that you deserved. He is your substitute. He lived a life of perfect holiness–for you and in your place. He alone is your righteousness! All the prophets have born witness that through faith in Jesus, you receive the forgiveness of sins that Jesus won for you over 2,000 years ago. Believe and receive it!

I watched one and it was good… They do have a wonderful testimony of finding relationship with JESUS and not having a relationship with the CHURCH. Sadly, most LDS would never watch it, because it is not endorsed by the church. Praying that some would think for themselves and watch it anyway.

Catz, that is what I am also praying for, with my whole heart! Their testimonies are very compelling. I think it is because they were not drawn away by a person or by some “anti-Mormon” group, or, even because of some blatant sin that they had committed. They were drawn to the true Gospel by the powerful Word of God found in the Bible. Our faith is all about a relationship with Jesus. If you have never experienced that love–the love that compels you to give your life to Jesus, then you are missing out on the only thing that matters!

John the Beloved gave us His powerful testimony, as well as the Testimony of our Almighty God:

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:

he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:5-13)

I am praying mightily, that all who are reading these words, will believe in the Jesus that has already gained them eternal life–with the offering of His perfect life as the sacrifice for all sins!

I am so blessed by their testimony. Only Jesus. Jesus!!! Amazing love!! He died for ME…. incredible, unbelievable. I love how they have free concerts and give away their CD’s at concerts. God is blessing them. Praying for LDS who are hurting and seeking, that they might find JESUS!!
