Testing the words of LDS leaders with Biblical Truth:

Did Jesus use the power of the Priesthood to create the world? (page 23):

Jesus Christ created this world and everything in it. He also created many other worlds. He did so through the power of the priesthood, under the direction of our Heavenly Father.

Test these LDS Words with Biblical Truth:

Jesus did not use “the power of the Priesthood” to create the world and everything in it. Jesus has all power because He is God and all power belongs to God:

“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.” (Psalm 62:11)

The prophet Jeremiah testified that God had His own power:

“But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.” (Jeremiah 10:10-13)

The Apostle Paul taught that every earthly King or leader of a country was established by God; in fact –every power is from God:

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” (Romans 13:1-2)

Were we created as spirits first, and then obtained physical bodies in which our spirits could dwell? (page 24

Now the earth was ready for the greatest creation of all—mankind. Our spirits would be given bodies of flesh and blood so they could live on earth.

Man was not created spiritually first. The first man Adam, was created both body and soul during the creation of the world:

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” 1 Corinthians 15:45
